Credit Hours and Compensatory Time

The Union has received information that some of our bargaining unit employees have been briefed that effective October 1, 2009; the Agency has suspended the Credit Hours and Compensatory Time programs.

Due to the fact that the aforementioned topics were not addressed/covered in the new NATCA/FAA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the Agency has suspended the aforementioned programs. These suspensions are supposed to only affect NATCA bargaining unit employees.

Credit hours and compensatory time are covered in the NAGE/FAA CBA; therefore the Agency must adhere to the credit hours and compensatory time provisions in the CBA.

Additional Information on ERAM

The Agency’s initial plans for the employment of ERAM did not include any workstations for the Flight Data Unit. The Operations Managers (OM) and Flight Data employees were supposed to share one ERAM workstation in the OM work area. The Union prevailed in their argument that in order to provide continuous and uninterrupted service, ERAM workstations needed to be posted in the Flight Data Units.
