It's Our Sad Duty to Report

It is with deep sadness that we report the unexpected passing of one of our most caring and compassionate air traffic assistant college William Cates, DFW TRACON, retired. On April 24, 2009, Bill passed thru the veil due to a massive heart attack.

Many of our colleges knew Bill for his extremely generous donations of leave under the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program (VLTP). He embodied the best of humanity; and will be missed greatly.

The viewing is on Sunday, April 26, 2009, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134, (817) 293-1350.

The gravesite service is on Monday, April 27, 2009, 2 p.m. at Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas TX, 75214, (214) 467-3374.
