Career Level Review Extension

FAA management is requesting a career level review extension until 2/29/08 to complete them. In return of this extension, the FAA will perform reviews on all employees instead of only the ones that are requesting them. They seem to feel that some of the reviews will also affect others instead of just that one person. So if one person rates an increase and the rest of the members are doing the same work but did not request the review, they all would receive the upgrade.

The FAA's extension request has been granted by the Union, below is the e-mail message from the FAA confirming the extension.

Rufino,

Thank you for NAGE's agreement to extend the deadline in Article 51, Section 2 for completion of responses to employee requests for review of career level determinations until no later than February 29, 2008. (Susanne called me this morning to confirm.)

We appreciate the additional time to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the positions. As explained in my voicemail message, all the positions will be evaluated before the revised deadline, whether or not the employee filed a timely request for a career level review.
